We had a chance to observe the hermit crabs close up today. We are looking at the hermit crabs' body parts that help them survive. Here are some drawings and photos of the crabs.
I was at school Saturday morning and no one else was there. It was so quiet, it was spooky. I kept hearing a noise out in the hall and expected another teacher to walk by and say hello. Then I figured out it was the hermit crabs moving around in their cage. They were quite noisy. We probably don't notice during the school day because it isn't so quiet. Ms. Kane
I think you're lucky that you get to have hermit crabs and frogs. I hope we get to have some towards the end of the year. They look interesting and fun.
I've been teaching for about 13 years and was geologist for 8 years before that (I like teaching better).
The best things about teaching are getting to meet and work with lots of neat kids and also that every day is different and challenging.
Hermit crabs are scary because whenever you move the paper, the hermit crab will hide and stay in its shell for about 10 seconds. Kira
