More Guest Readers

We had a two more visitors come and read to us. First, Mr. Platte, the mayor of Eaton Rapids, visited. He talked about being mayor and some things that were going on around town. He read the book City Green about a community that cleaned up a vacant lot and planted a large garden in the middle of the city.

Later, Dr. DeFrance, the superintendent of our schools, came and read a book called Teammates about Jackie Robinson, the first African-American major league baseball player.

He also showed us the wide variety of books, magazines, and newspapers he reads for work and for fun. Wow - that's a lot of reading Dr. DeFrance. We're not sure where you find the time. Here he is with a stack of his favorite reading materials.
